LodestoneEldercare Guide — point toward true help

Your privacy, plainly

You should be able to read anything on this site without being watched, counted, or followed afterward. You can. This page says exactly what we do and don't do — in plain English, with no fine print.

On our own site, we track nothing

Lodestone sets no cookies of its own. There is no sign-up, no login, and no account. We run no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no third-party pixels that follow you around the web. We do not ask for your name, your email, or your phone number, and there is no form on this site that collects your personal information. You can browse the entire directory and every guide completely anonymously.

What happens when you click an affiliate link

Some pages — mainly the Essentials list and the buying sections of our guides — include affiliate links to outside retailers such as Amazon. When you click one, you leave Lodestone and arrive on that retailer's own website. To credit us if you buy something, the retailer places its own cookie in your browser. That cookie is the retailer's, not ours — it is governed by their privacy policy, and it works the same way it would if you had reached them through any other website. It costs you nothing extra, and we never see your order, your payment details, or your shipping information. We only ever learn, in anonymous totals, that a sale happened — never who made it.

How to avoid even that

The directory, the safety data, and the guides all work fully without ever clicking a product link — nothing on this site is gated behind one. If you'd rather no retailer cookie is set at all, you can simply not click the affiliate links, open them in a private/incognito window, or clear your browser cookies afterward. The choice is entirely yours, and nothing you read here changes based on it.

What we will never do

We will never sell or share your information — we don't collect it to begin with. We take no "referral fees" or "placement commissions" for steering you to a facility, we run no lead-generation, and we never let advertising money touch the safety data. If that ever changes, it changes here first, in plain language, before anything else.
